  1. What is the Creative Spotlight?
    • The Creative Spotlight is a monthly event hosted by InkScape where Rec Room creators can showcase their upcoming rooms or games. It's an opportunity to present trailers, share information, and hype up your creations, with a seamless connection to the Rooms Of The Year Awards.
  2. Who can participate in the Creative Spotlight?
    • Any member of the InkScape Community who creates games or rooms in Rec Room is welcome to participate. We encourage both experienced and new creators to submit their work.
  3. How do I submit my room or game for the event?
    • You can submit your work through the registration form available by clicking here. Ensure you meet all the submission guidelines and fill out the form with the necessary details.
  4. What are the requirements for the trailers?
    • Trailers should be no longer than 2 minutes and must accurately represent your room or game. They should follow the Rec Room Code of Conduct and Creator Code of Conduct and must be submitted in a compatible digital format.
  5. My room/game isn't published yet. Can I still participate?
    • Yes, unpublished rooms or games can be submitted, provided they are near completion and will be published within 30 days after being showcased.
  6. Is there a time limit for how recent my published room/game must be to qualify?
    • Yes, if your room or game is already published, it should have been released no more than 6 months prior to the submission date.
  7. What happens if my submission is accepted?
    • If accepted, you'll be given a timeslot to present your creation at the next Creative Spotlight event. You'll have 5 minutes on stage to showcase your trailer and talk about your room or game.
  8. Can I update my room/game after showcasing it in the event?
    • Minor updates and tweaks post-showcase are acceptable. However, the core experience of your room/game should remain as presented during the showcase.
  9. How is the Creative Spotlight connected to the Rooms Of The Year Awards?
    • Participation in the Creative Spotlight automatically enters your room or game into the Rooms Of The Year Awards, offering additional exposure and recognition.
  10. I have technical requirements for my presentation. Whom should I contact?
    • Please communicate any technical needs to the event organizers as soon as possible. This can often be communicated with @DJICore on our Discord Server.
  11. Where can I find updates and announcements about the event?
    • Stay updated through our Discord Server. We regularly post announcements, updates, and important dates there.
